- 1 egg
- 1/2 lb meat (sausage / lamb)
Core a large cabbage. Carefully peel off about 10 of the largest leaves. Cook in salted water until soft. While leaves are cooling on an absorbent towel, steam 1/2 cup of rice; drain and cool slightly. Mix together: 2 tbsp. chopped onion 1 egg 1/2 lb. meat (half sausage & half lamb is good)
Roll a heaping tablespoon of filling mixture in leaf and place in baking pan or dish. Pour a can of tomato sauce over all after pan is full (single layer). Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees. This great cabbage rolls recipe is ready to serve. Nice taste ! Enjoy it !
